Toolmaker's microscope

Description
Microscope inside of a wooden case.
Users placed the object to be examined on the stage (which was larger than in most other microscopes), and clipped it into place with the clamps on either side of the stage. The microscope’s objective has a cross line in it to allow for accurate measurements of the object on the stage. This microscope was marketed to toolmakers and machinists.
This microscope was used by Professor Kiley in the Department of Meteorology.
