Description

This item consists of a box containing three spools of aluminum tape, two of which are in additional paper boxes.

Windows, also known as chaff or Düppel, were thin strips of aluminum, glass fiber, or plastic that were used as a countermeasure against radar. When these strips of aluminum were hit by radar, the metal re-radiated the radar signal, making it difficult to use radar to effectively locate enemy aircraft.
