Thomas Edison, right, assisted by Francis Jehl, on left, re-enacts the invention of his first incandescent lamp. Original caption: "In October, 1929, Edison came to Dearborn, Mich., for the celebration of Light's Golden Jubilee. In his Menlo Park laboratory, re-erected in historic Greenfield Village by Henry Ford, the great inventor re-enacted the creation in 1879 of the first practical incandescent lamp. Edison, right, was assisted by Francis Jehl, who duplicated the operation he performed when the first lamp was made. Jehl, who is the curator of the laboratory, is now writing the third volume of 'Menlo Park Reminiscences.' (Release Sunday, Feb. 9, and thereafter)." Original credit line: Henry Ford Collection.
