Original Caption: "Dr. James M. Faulkner (second from right), former Dean of the Boston University School of Medecine, was honored recently by his colleagues who presented to the School a portrait of him painted by William Draper. Participating in the ceremonies were (left to right): Dr. Chester S. Keefer, his successor; Burnham S. Walker, Professor of Biochemistry, presiding officer; sons Andrew and Henry Faulkner who performed the actual unveiling; Dr. Faulkner; and Dr. Paul Dudley White, friend and colleague of Dr. Faulkner's father (also an M.D.), as well as of the family, and teacher of Dr. Faulkner at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Faulkner is now medical director at M.I.T. His family was well known in Keene, N. H., where the elder Faulkner was a physician for many years. Dr. Faulkner is a director of the New Hamprhisre Association for the Protection of Forests."
