Black and white photograph of Philip W. Morrison pointing to a figure in Feynman's Principle on a chalkboard during a lecture. Dr. Morrison was the first Francis L. Friedman Lecturer on theoretical physics.

Original Caption: "Freidman Lecturer Feb 1964" "35mm Series. 57.023. PM_8 #17. Dr. Philip Morrison, the first Francis L. Friedman Lecturer, in Kresge Little Theater. He was at M.I.T. to give a series of eleven lectures on theoretical physics. The lectureship was established in memory of Dr. Francis L. Friedman, young yet distinguished theoretical physicist at M.I.T., who died in 1962 at age 42. (MIT Office of Public Relations, Feb. 1964)"
