Description

Pencil, blue and red crayon, and ink on light brown medium-weight paper. Probably a part of an entrance examination exercise for the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Partially lost number written in crayon along left edge. Includes date and other markings. "Ecole des Beaux-Arts" stamp partially lost in upper left corner. Inscription on back, top half of drawing, in charcoal reads: "Wm Rotch Ware, Atélier- Vaudremer, Mars 22 1875". Inscription on back, bottom half of drawing, in pencil reads: "Wm Rotch Ware" and includes other doodles.
